Founder and CEO

Prateek founded Hygge Energy after spending three years as the in-house entrepreneur at Tech Mahindra. Another two years later, he had developed Hygge Energy’s peer-to-peer trading product in partnership with his company’s strategic partners and customers. A young and talented tech team allows Prateek to feel confident about delivering world-class products and enabling Hygge Energy to be included among the leading technology companies of the world.

He started his first job in a small machine shop as a mechanical engineering student. He hasn’t looked back since. He has worked in the energy industry for over 30 years, building expertise in innovation and product development in collaboration with customers, and converting concepts to creative business models, resulting in a win-win for both, Hygge Energy and its customers. Throughout his career, he has acknowledged and respected his long-lasting business relationships. 

He believes his most noteworthy professional achievement was being selected as the in-house entrepreneur from over 100,000 associates, and subsequently receiving Most Innovative Solution award from Mr. Anand Mahindra. 

An avid traveler, Prateek’s favorite place to visit is Banff, Canada, where he enjoys hiking, canoeing and spending time with his family.  He makes it a point to spend at least three hours a day reading, and most of his preferred material revolves around technology research journals. He plays badminton at a competitive level and loves to watch NBA and NFL. He is a Toronto Raptors and 49ers fan.
